(CureBowl.com) – Bowl week for the inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital is underway with Wednesday night’s AmeriLife Welcome Reception at Hard Rock Live at Universal Orlando City Walk. Georgia State and San Jose State were treated like rock stars in their first event in the City Beautiful.

“Tonight was eight years in the making, it was great to welcome Georgia State and San Jose State to the AutoNation Cure Bowl,” Executive Director Alan Gooch said. “These teams along with our wonderful sponsors, staff and volunteers came together tonight to put on a first-class event.”

The red carpet was rolled out for the players and coaches with the cameras flashing on their way inside. The teams had a chance to mingle with one another and enjoy dinner, while taking photos in front of the AutoNation Cure Bowl backdrop featuring both team’s logos.

While enjoying the festivities, a highlight package featuring the top moments of both team’s seasons were shown to the attendees before Cure Bowl Executive Director Alan Gooch took the stage. He took the time to officially welcome the teams and their constituents, while recognizing Dr. Annette Khaled, a Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) certified researcher at UCF’s College of Medicine, and Cure Bowl Ambassador Max Starks.

The teams have the opportunity to hit the gridiron on Thursday morning for a practice before both head coaches and selected players meet the media. Both squads have an opportunity to enjoy Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk for the rest of the day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
