Orlando Sports Foundation Names Jeff Lagos New President

jeff-lagosOrlando, Fla. (OrlandoSportsFoundation.com) – The Orlando Sports Foundation (OSF) Thursday named Jeff Lagos its incoming President. Lagos has served six years on the OSF board and is one of the Founding Members of the organization.

“I am greatly committed to the foundation’s mission to help find a cure for cancer and the values that guide this important work,” stated Lagos.

Mr. Lagos is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, is a member of the UCF College of Business Hall of Fame and serves as President of Insurance Officers of America (IOA). IOA is the 13th largest privately held insurance brokers in the United States, has over 35,000 clients, more than $1 billon in premiums in-force and almost 50 offices spread across the country.

“Jeff brings a unique combination of passion and experience to the OSF board,” stated OSF Executive Director, Alan Gooch. “He is a great leader and a perfect fit as we launch into our second year of raising funding and awareness for organizations working to find a cure for cancer.”

Lagos will succeed Megan Dowdy who will continue to serve as Host Committee Chair and will remain on the OSF board.

“I look forward to working with Jeff this year as he assumes his leadership role in 2016,” said Dowdy.
